What it costs

Three named packages, quoted in writing after the free application review. Fixed fee, no hourly billing — and no figure on this page, because the price is read from your file, not from a menu.

In short. We quote; we do not list. After the free application review you receive a written fixed fee for whichever package fits the findings in your file — Determination & Plan, The Complete File, or Full Handover, the premium package that takes the whole process off your desk, submission and every reply until approval. No hourly billing, nothing charged for the review itself, and when the honest report is “submit it as it stands,” there is nothing to quote.

The three packages

Each package contains the one before it. Each is a fixed fee, put in writing before any work starts, and each begins the same way — with the free review.

  1. Determination & Plan

Included. The category settled from the design — quality improvement or research; not human subjects, exempt, expedited or full board — with a written rationale; the plan fixed so every later document has something to quote word for word; the list of documents the file will need for that path and who signs each; a repair list for anything already drafted, keyed to the findings in your report.

Best for. A project still at the proposal stage, or a file whose owner wants to build the documents herself from a settled foundation. Cures Finding 7 — the category that argues with its design, the longest bounce — before it can be written.

Not included. The documents themselves, the submission, or the replies. You build the file to the plan; we are a question away.

A written quote follows the free application review. Fixed fee, no hourly billing.

  2. The Complete File

Included. Everything in Determination & Plan, plus every document built in the board’s own register: the application quoting the plan; the consent stamped to its protocol with every required element; the recruitment set exactly as it will run; the instruments as they will be administered; the data-security plan naming storage, access, de-identification and destruction; the site permission letter drafted for an authorized signature and sent first; the training certificates read against the requirement; and the full cross-read before anything leaves.

Best for. A project whose owner will file it herself and answer the board herself, from a file that has already been inspected the way the board will inspect it.

Not included. Preparing and filing the submission, and the replies to the board after it.

A written quote follows the free application review. Fixed fee, no hourly billing.

  3. Full Handover the premium package, and the most chosen

Included. Everything in The Complete File, plus the submission itself — every form completed, every attachment stamped and ordered, filed with you under your name as investigator of record — and every reply to the board answered until approval: the response memo to each revision letter in the board’s own terms with the revised pages it points to, requested amendments, then continuing review and closure when the board’s process asks for them. The whole IRB process off your desk, end to end.

Best for. Anyone working while they study, anyone whose file has already come back once, and anyone who would rather spend the board’s review cycle on the project than on the portal.

Not included. The research. The project, its data and its findings stay yours; the decision is the board’s; carrying the file to it is ours.

A written quote follows the free application review. Fixed fee, no hourly billing.

How the quote is made

  1. The free application review. You send the file as it stands from the contact page; we read it the way the board will and write the findings. Nothing is charged, and nothing follows if you stop here.
  2. The recommendation. With the report comes the package that fits the findings — and, if a cheaper one would honestly do, that is the one recommended. A clean file is told it is clean, and there is nothing to quote.
  3. The written quote. One fixed fee for the package, in writing, with what it covers and what it does not, and the payment schedule. No hourly rate, no per-page or per-revision charge, no figure that moves after you accept.
  4. Your acceptance, in writing. Work starts when you say so. If the scope changes later — a second site comes on, the design changes category — the change is quoted in writing before any work on it starts, never discovered on an invoice.
  5. The work, to the end of the package. For Full Handover that means every reply until the board has decided, however many it writes. A second revision letter is not a second fee.

What is never billed

  • The free application review, whatever it finds.
  • A verdict of “submit it as it stands.”
  • Additional replies to the board inside Full Handover — the package runs to approval.
  • Questions. Ask before you accept, ask during, ask after.

Pricing questions, answered first

Why are there no prices on this site?

Because the price is read from your file, not from a menu. Two files that both want The Complete File can carry very different amounts of work — one needs a consent rebuilt and a letter drafted, the other needs everything — and a list price would overcharge one of them. So we read first, then quote one fixed fee in writing.

It also keeps the free review honest: nobody is steering you toward a package on a price card. The report says what the file needs, and the quote follows the report.

Is the application review really free?

Yes — the full file, every finding, the corrective action for each, in writing, with no obligation afterward. It is the entry to the service, not a sample of it; if the report says the file is clean, you file it yourself and we never send an invoice.

What the review is not is the service: the cures, the documents, the filing and the replies are the packages. How the whole process works sets out where the review ends and the packages begin.

Do you bill by the hour, or per revision?

Neither. Every package is one fixed fee, quoted in writing before work starts. Inside Full Handover, every reply to the board until approval is included — a second or third revision letter is not a second or third fee — and a change of scope is quoted in writing before any work on it begins.

Can I start with Determination & Plan and move up later?

Yes. Each package contains the one before it, so moving from Determination & Plan to The Complete File, or from The Complete File to Full Handover, is quoted as the difference, in writing, at the point you decide — commonly when the board writes back and the portal turns out to be more than you wanted to carry.

What if the board returns the file after Full Handover?

Then the reply is ours, as part of the same fee: the response memo answering each item in the board’s own terms, the revised pages it points to, and the resubmission — for as many replies as the board writes, until it has decided. The board’s decision is its own and we never promise it; what Full Handover promises is that every letter it writes gets answered, by us, until there are no more.

When and how do I pay?

On the schedule stated in the written quote you accepted — set out before work starts, and never changed afterward. An invoice follows the schedule; there are no charges that were not in the quote.

Every package begins the same way: the free application review.
